These were Mary's hands. They were strong and gentle hands. Although old and affected by arthritis, they were the hands of a mother. They were intelligent hands, caring hands, which could turn a page or cook the next meal.

About Eduardo Gomez

Eduardo Gomez

Eduardo Gomez was born in Colombia and moved to the USA as a young man. Although Eduardo Gomez’s artistic career began while he was a young undergraduate student, his artistic development took circuitous paths due to work, travel and the demands of raising a family. Later in life, he returned to art school at the University of Arkansas, Little Rock where he completed his post-baccalaureate studies in sculpture and was admitted to the graduate school. Eduardo also studied independently under various nationally recognized sculptors. Eduardo Gomez recently published a book about his work and artistic roots called “Eduardo Gomez : Silent Messages” with an introduction and interview by Art Historian Laura M. Amrhein, PHD.
