I was drawn to the sense of immediacy between two lovers and the way the space between them expresses something about the psychology of their relationship.I discovered that depicting the forms without skin made them spiritual.

About Eduardo Gomez

Eduardo Gomez

Eduardo Gomez was born in Colombia and moved to the USA as a young man. Although Eduardo Gomez’s artistic career began while he was a young undergraduate student, his artistic development took circuitous paths due to work, travel and the demands of raising a family. Later in life, he returned to art school at the University of Arkansas, Little Rock where he completed his post-baccalaureate studies in sculpture and was admitted to the graduate school. Eduardo also studied independently under various nationally recognized sculptors. Eduardo Gomez recently published a book about his work and artistic roots called “Eduardo Gomez : Silent Messages” with an introduction and interview by Art Historian Laura M. Amrhein, PHD.
